Certification Review
The U.S. Department of Transportation is required to review and certify the transportation planning process of large metropolitan planning organizations, such as COMPASS, every four years. The most recent review of the COMPASS planning process occurred in 2026. Based on overall findings, the COMPASS planning process was “Certified” for the next four years with no corrective actions or recommendations.
