Good Move
What is the “Good Move” campaign?
Good Move is a collaborative marketing effort shared by COMPASS and its member agencies to support safe transportation decisions and save lives.
We believe that every person on the road has the power – and responsibility – to look out for each other. By working together, we can inspire positive change in transportation across the Treasure Valley.
Good Moves, Safer Roadways
Good Move branding is characterized by fun and encouragement. While we understand that transportation safety topics are not always “fun,” this campaign is designed to inspire change through positive reinforcement. As you are going about your commute , making “good moves” impacts you and those around you and helps create safer roadways for all users. Good moves such as putting down your phone, wearing a seatbelt, stopping on red, and being aware of others on the road, such as cyclists or runners can make all the difference.
So what exactly is “a good move?”
- When you use your turn signal? That’s a good move!
- When you double check the bike lane before turning? That’s a good move!
- When you give truck drivers extra room on the road? That’s a good move!
Any safe decision in transportation is a good move. What good moves have you seen lately?
Where will I see Good Move in action?
Good move will be all over the Treasure Valley! COMPASS and its member agencies will all be taking part in sharing this campaign and actively working together to collaborate on new topics, social media posts, and advertisements. Stay tuned and keep an eye out for Good Move as you’re out and about!
COMPASS’ Regional Safety Action Plan
In early 2023, COMPASS received federal funding to create the Treasure Valley’s first Regional Safety Action Plan (RSAP) through a Safe Streets and Roads for All grant from the Federal Highway Administration. This grant will support COMPASS’ efforts to engage stakeholders in a collaborative, comprehensive planning endeavor to inform an actionable safety plan to improve transportation safety and save lives.
The vision of this plan is a Treasure Valley unified by a commitment to eliminate fatalities and serious injuries on its roadways through innovation, collaboration, education, and engagement.
Good Move is closely aligned with the RSAP’s vision and goals to promote safety in Ada and Canyon counties. For more information on the Regional Safety Action Plan, visit the webpage by clicking here.
